I got a job teaching at a dance studio!!

.. and this is the bio i wrote for myself:

[REAL NAME] (who while dancing goes by the name “Alice Raven”, or just “Raven” for short.) has spent the majority of her life dancing.  She started at a studio in Hollywood, Florida – where she was born and raised – at the early age of four with ballet and tap.  Since then, Raven has studied a variety of creative movement ranging from cheerleading to belly dancing.   Raven first fell in love with belly dancing just after graduating from a high school in Hollywood, Florida in the year 2005.  While working as a server in a restaurant, a customer suggested that she try belly dancing.  Intrigued, Raven decided to give it a shot.  Her first and most influential teacher was Maja, “The Girl from the Nile”.  Maja introduced the beautiful and mysterious art of belly dance to Raven and it soon became her passion.  A year later, Raven began dancing under the direction of Tammy Shea, “Zahira”.  Zahira first introduced Raven to Egyptian and Turkish styles of belly dance.  A fellow student of Zahira’s, Ameerah, invited Raven to an Egyptian/Tribal fusion class.  Here Raven found her niche and met fellow dancer, Verrina.  Verrina and Raven instantly clicked.  Their Gothic flair and love for tribal resulted in amazing stage chemistry.  Verrina and Raven soon there after co-founded tribal fusion dance troupe “Hips of Destruction”.  Continually learning from professionals, and each other, as well as drawing inspiration from their diverse backgrounds, and the music which inspires them.  They continue to dance together today.  Raven performed in her first major belly dance production in October of 2007 and most recently performed with Hips of Destruction at the first annual Miami Belly dance Convention.  Since then, Raven has defined herself as a solo artist.  With experience teaching and choreographing hip-hop/jazz fusion to young girls, and directing a troupe of middle school age stage actors for several years, Raven is no stranger to the stage.  This is her first time teaching belly dance.  Through this art, Raven hopes to share with her students confidence, respect for oneself, and above all, she wished for her students to have fun!

I had so much fun, I can't wait for the next time we get to dance. I'm gonna miss Juan though, wish he wasn't moving so far away. T_T
